My New Book Project: Big Tex(an)

Today is opening day of the 2025 Texas State Fair!

Fifteen years ago during a trip to the very same fair, I came up with an idea for a book set at the fairgrounds. I subsequently wrote the first half of that book’s draft and then just dreamed about it, half written, for over a decade.

This year, I am rewriting/updating that draft. FINALLY.

Anyway, like all the books I write, this one has played itself out in my head filmatically, so when I write it this time around these are the actors I am imagining playing my fictional characters. They do not even know I exist, so this is in no way a real casting announcement. But here, in case you reading this right now could maybe make this story come to life on the big screen (or small streaming screen) someday, here is my “dream cast” list straight from my Canva dream board.
